The museum is also called the Museum of\nWestern and Oriental Art. Now it keeps one of the best collections of foreign\nart in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since\n1919 the number of exhibits has been more than 13 times increased. Visitors can\nview many remarkable samples of foreign art: Ancient Greek, Roman, Italian,\nFrench, Spanish, Flemish, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese, Turkish, Egyptian, etc<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Famous\nfounders of museum&#8217;s collections were Boh\u00addan Khanenko and his wife Varvara.\nThey always dreamt to open the public museum of art in Kyiv. Finally their\ndream came true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\ncollection of the museum consists of 25 thousand&nbsp; exhibits and is considered to be the biggest\nforeign art collection in
